One day experiences

All experiences are activities which take place in a small group of max. 4 participants.
Usually activities will be held in the morning from 10.00 to 14.00(except the Raku Event)afternoon sessions can be arranged on request.
Tuition language is, as desired, either German or English. One will need comfortable clothes which may become dirty.
In these experiences you will connect to the island through getting to know the local media with your senses. You will experience the island from a different angle and express your holiday impressions.

Art Walks/tours
A1: On the trail of contemporary Gozitan artists

We walk from studio to studio and meet different artists at work. The walk starts from Mgarr harbour and leads through country lanes to Ghanjsielem. Here we visit the first artist and his stone sculptures.
Afterwards we continue uphill to Nadur along fields and meadows . Right in the centre of Nadur you will enjoy a light lunch and Hermine's art at her HOME Studio-Gallery (an original Gozitan farm house). There you will also choose your handmade souvenir.
The next artist, a painter, is only a few footsteps away. You will again have the chance to view his art and talk to him.
After all these impressions a winding road will lead us back down the hill to the harbour.
During this walk you will not only experience the marvellous Gozitan countryside, but you will also get an idea how the island influences the work of us artists.
Due to the heat in the summer months I recommend this experience for the cooler months of the year (October till May). This experience will take about 4 hours; comfortable clothes and firm footwear will be to your advantage.

A2: Back to nature - forming and shaping with local clay.

With a meditative introduction and sensory perception you get to know the medium and its properties. After a short informative part the medium will be used to form and shape figures.
